AGV installation

We were approached by Honda UK Manufacturing Ltd to design and manufacture an automated delivery system for their front and rear axle assembly.

Mirages' extensive experience in the development of Autonomously Guided Vehicles was called into play in order to develop a bespoke solution for the client.  

The finished product was able to travel through the assembly area at a very slow speed whilst the line member assembled the axle, hand shake with the tooling enabled confirmation that the component had been correctly fitted to the assembly.

Once all processes were complete, the AGV accelerated and negotiated its way to the assembly line, allowing the axle to be removed and fitted to the vehicle; the empty AGV then returning in a loop to the beginning of the process.
